Objectives  
This workshop introduces the concept of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and the methodology in building an actual BSC, in realising organisation’s vision and strategy into actions.  It also provides participants with a step-by-step guide to implement a BSC, through interactive activities and hands-on practices.  
   
Outline  
  • Introduction to the Balanced Scorecard
  • Local BSC successful cases
  • Methodology in building a BSC: analysing stakeholders?needs and expectations; defining value, vision and mission; defining strategy, strategic goals and key performance indicators (with activities)  
  • Developing 4 perspectives of performance measures: financial, customer, internal process, learning & growth
  • Introduction to the BSC implementation cycle
  • Using BSC to manage performance and close performance gaps (with case study)
  • Cascading BSC measures to teams / individuals
  • Workshop on aligning BSC measures with team’s objectives and results  
  • Coaching for improved performance (with role play)
 
   
Outcomes  
After the workshop, participants will be able to:  
  • Understand the concept of the Balanced Scorecard and its implementation
  • Develop appropriate performance measures
  • Build and implement their first Balanced Scorecard
  • Play their parts in the drive for accountable and effective performance at the team / individual level
